It is very hard work cleaning up the house!
On Saturday, the 25th of June, my mum, my sister and I decided to clean up around out my house because we were bored. We used sweeping brushes and dustpans to sweep and clothes to wipe.
We started with our own rooms. My mum told me to sweep my room because it was very dusty. I swept for a few minutes and I was soon finished. Then my sister started to wipe the floor with a red cloth with four stripes. She wiped the floor intensely so that it looked shiny. While I was waiting I went to my mum's room to play with my baby sister in her cot and then I started sweeping again.
After that, I swept the most spacious room in the house and was soon finished. Then I went to my room and told my sister that I had finished. I started reading my book while I waited. Then my mum told me to sweep the hallway that leads us everywhere, so I did. I shook the floor mats because I thought there might be dust under them as well.
Then my sister went out of my mum's room and headed to the kitchen to do some more cleaning. My mum went out taking my baby sister with her. After a few minutes, I finished and we were all able to rest.
My favourite part of the day was when we had finished and was able to take a good rest from all of that hard work. It was a really hard working day!
Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write an orientation, followed by the events and then a conclusion about weekend cleaning up the house.
